For women who look fine, but don’t feel fine

Feel like yourself again.

On the outside, you’re fine. Inside, you’re anxious, lonely or wondering where you went.

You’ve looked after everyone for years. Now you want to enjoy your own life, but your mind won’t switch off and putting yourself first still feels wrong.

I’m Isabelle Fitzgerald. I help women in their 50s, 60s and beyond work through old emotional patterns and build calmer, more confident ways of responding.

When did you last feel like you?

Everyone thinks you’re coping. You’re tired of holding it all together.

You take care of everyone. Say yes when you’re already exhausted. Replay a conversation because you might have upset someone.

Then the house goes quiet, and you feel lonely. You miss having something that’s yours. You wonder, “Is this really how I’m going to feel for the rest of my life?”

You want to enjoy the life you’ve worked so hard to build.

What you want to feel instead

Less time in your head. More of your life back.

A quieter mind

From lying awake replaying a conversation to knowing how to settle yourself when the worry starts.

Room for yourself

From another exhausted yes to saying what you need without spending the afternoon feeling guilty.

More connection

From feeling alone in a quiet house to making the call, accepting the invitation and enjoying company.

Confidence in your own choices

From second-guessing every decision to trusting yourself and having something of your own to look forward to.

These are the changes we work towards, shaped around what matters to you.

What staying here costs

How much of your day goes into simply coping?

The morning starts with worry. You say yes again because it’s easier than disappointing someone. By evening, there’s nothing left for you.

It costs you sleep, energy and time with people you love. Even a good day can pass while you’re busy in your head.

You keep thinking, “I’ll feel better when things settle down.” But there will always be someone who needs you.

What would you like the next chapter of your life to feel like?

1 · Get to the root

Understanding a pattern isn’t the same as changing it.

Perhaps you’ve read the books, tried therapy and can explain exactly why you react this way. Yet when someone needs you, you’re back on duty. Your own needs come last.

Neuro Transformation Therapy works with the deeper beliefs and emotional patterns that may be keeping that response going. We explore what you’ve learnt about safety, responsibility and being good enough, and how it’s affecting you now.

2 · Work through the baggage

What if this isn’t “just who you are”?

The guilt. The resentment you don’t like admitting. The fear that everything will fall apart if you stop.

These feelings can become so familiar that you mistake them for your personality. We work with the past experiences and meanings connected to them, with the aim of reducing their hold on your life today.

You can care about people without carrying everything for them.

3 · Build your new freeway

“I know better. So why do I keep doing this?”

An old response can feel like a freeway you’ve driven for years. You’re on it before you notice.

Building a new road takes practice. We combine the deeper work with tools you can use when life happens: grounding when worry rises, pausing before saying yes and speaking to yourself with less criticism.

You try a different response, notice what helps and practise again. The work comes into the conversations, decisions and ordinary days where you want things to change.
